What Happens When You Hit Your Free Plan Response Cap
When a Free workspace reaches 100 completes in a month, new respondents are paused — your data is safe, and collection resumes next month or the moment you upgrade.
Overview
When a Free workspace reaches 100 completes in a month, new respondents are paused — your data is safe, and collection resumes next month or the moment you upgrade.
What exactly happens
- New respondent sessions are blocked. Someone opening your survey link sees that the survey isn't accepting responses right now.
- Respondents already mid-survey can finish. The cap only gates new starts; in-progress sessions complete normally.
- Nothing is lost. All collected responses stay in Results, exports keep working, and your surveys stay Live — they just don't admit new respondents.
Your options
Wait for the monthly reset — the counter resets on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC, and your link starts accepting respondents again automatically.
Upgrade for immediate reopening — go to Settings → Billing → Change plan and pick Solo ($29/month, 1,000 completes) or higher. New sessions are allowed as soon as the upgrade lands.

Plan the send for early month — if you expect ~100+ responses, launch just after the reset so the whole batch fits inside one window.
Tips
Tip: Watch the Plan usage meter on your dashboard as you distribute — if you're at 80/100 mid-campaign, decide about upgrading before the link goes dark on respondents.
Note: Screen-outs and partials with 5+ answered questions count toward the 100 — see Understanding Monthly Response Limits by Plan for the exact counting rule.
